Imtiaz Dharker was awarded the Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry in 2014 and her most recent collection, Luck is the Hook (2018), contemplates the fickle nature of fate and chance. Sasha Dugdale’s long poem ‘Joy’ inspired by the creative life of William Blake’s wife, Catherine, won the Forward Prize in 2016, and her collection of the same title was the PBS Winter Choice 2017. Forward Prize-shortlisted Karen McCarthy Woolf’s latest collection is Seasonal Disturbances (2017), a meditation on nature, city and the self.
