Jericho Brown’s second book, The New Testament (Copper Canyon, 2014), was named one of the best poetry books of the year by Library Journal. The editor of the ground-breaking anthology, Against Forgetting: Twentieth-Century Poetry of Witness (W.W. Norton, 1993) Carolyn Forché has received many prizes and awards, including a Windham-Campbell Prize, the Academy of American Poets Fellowship. Patricia Smith is the author of six volumes of poetry, including Shoulda Been Jimi Savannah, winner of the 2014 Rebekah Bobbitt award.
