Announcing a new series of poetry readings here at the People’s Theatre in our Studio Theatre.
The first two readings will lead up to the Newcastle Poetry Festival 11th -13th May at Northern Stage and will showcase the creative role of poetry groups for writers, in line with the festival’s overall theme of Community.

Linda Anderson’s first collection, The Station Before, was published by Pavilion in 2020.
Linda France won the Laurel Prize for her collection The Knucklebone Floor (Smokestack 2022), and has since published Startling (Faber, 2022) and won the Michael Marks Environmental Poet of the Year award for her pamphlet Letters to Katłià.
Cynthia Fuller’s seventh collection, Safety Nets, was published by Red Squirrel Press in 2021.
Pippa Little’s third collection, Time Begins to Hurt, was published by Arc in 2022.
Ellen Phethean as well as being a poet, writes prose for young people: Ren and the Blue Hands was published by Red Squirrel Press. A new poetry collection, Shedding the Niceties, also from Red Squirrel Press, is published this month.
Anne Ryland’s third collection, Unruled Journal, was published by Valley Press in 2021.
