Welcome to the eighth annual Newcastle Poetry Festival!
Taking ‘In/Out of Place’ as its theme, and with an emphasis on local places in the region, the Newcastle Poetry Festival continues to be a place to explore poetry, archives and creative practice.
This year’s Festival took place 9-11 May 2024 at Northern Stage. Thank you for joining us for three days of readings, workshops, panel discussions, commissions and schools events. It is our hope that the Festival brought together young people, students and emerging writers together with local, national and international poets, poetry publishers and promoters.
