Sylvia Legris

Sylvia Legris’ poetry collections include The Hideous Hidden, Pneumatic Antiphonal, and Nerve Squall, winner in 2006 of both the Griffin Poetry Prize and the Pat Lowther Award. Among her other awards are the Cheryl & Henry Kloppenburg Prize for Literary Excellence in 2018, the Lieutenant Governor’s Saskatchewan Artist Award in 2014, and the Canada Council for the Arts’ Victor Martyn Lynch-Staunton Award for Outstanding Achievement in 2012. Her poems have appeared in The Paris Review, Granta, New York Review of Books, The New Yorker, and The Poetry Review. Garden Physic was named one of CBC’s Best Canadian Poetry Collections of 2021.
